CHATTANOOGA, TN – On one of Rob Cuthbertson’s first dates with Wendy – who is now his wife – Rob pulled some two-by-fours out of a closet and taught her how to calculate roof pitch, an important measurement in home construction. Both were college students and Wendy had asked Rob to tell her more about his field of study, Construction Management. Wendy had to smile at Rob’s hands-on response to her question. It was through this unconventional date that Wendy recognized Rob’s passion for building – passion Rob still has 15 years later.
Rob also uses a hands-on approach as he operates Cuthbertson Homes. He oversees each project personally to ensure beautiful, quality craftsmanship. Rob makes it a point to keep his clients up to date and involved as work progresses on their projects. “Rob is a great communicator and follows through with what he says he’ll do,” say remodeling clients Todd and Erika Moreland.
Rob grew up not far from Chattanooga in Scottsboro, Alabama, as the oldest of six brothers. After graduating from Brigham Young University with a B.S in Construction Management, he and Wendy moved to Chattanooga to start their business and a family. Rob and Wendy have three children, with whom they love to share their passion for traveling. Rob serves as a youth leader at his church and is a member of the East Brainerd Kiwanis Club of Chattanooga. As a hobby, Rob loves to rappel into and explore the Tennessee Valley’s many cave systems.
